My daughter

(Aimée, me)
We have one daughter, Aimée.
Not our choice to have just one,
but God's choosing.

She has been a delight, a joy, a treasure, and a challenge!
When she was a baby, I smocked her dresses.
I made them to coordinate with mine.
As she got older, I would use the same
fabrics and similar styles for us.
This summer she will turn 20.
We still have closets full of matching outfits.
Sometimes we come out of our rooms wearing the same thing.
On Sundays, we always match...
except for our shoes.
Sometimes we can even do that, though.
I am thankful for Aimée.
About this time 20 years ago, I was pregnant with her
I was told she had
no stomach, no bladder, and only one kidney.
I was told that I could abort her,
that she would not live after birth.
I had 27 ultra sounds during my pregnancy with her.
Thankfully, GOD knows things we do not.
Aimée was born early, a tiny baby, but with all her parts.
Of our children, she is truly the healthiest of them all.
She is a treasure!
